Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What makes your approach different from other nutritionists or dietitians?
This is not a generic one-size-fits-all program or meal plan
My approach is:
Lab-informed – I use advanced functional testing to uncover the root causes of your symptoms, not just manage them. Highly personalized – Every protocol is thoughtfully designed for your body, your history, and your goals — never a template.
Transformational – We focus on sustainable, lasting change rather than quick fixes.

Do you take insurance?
No, I do not accept insurance.
Functional nutrition is not typically covered because it focuses on root-cause investigation, advanced specialty testing, and individualized nutrition and lifestyle protocols — services that fall outside conventional diagnostic and treatment codes.
Insurance companies generally reimburse for disease diagnosis and medication-based management. My work centers on prevention, systems-based assessment, and personalized healing strategies, which require longer appointments and deeper clinical analysis than insurance models typically allow.

Can we use my old labs?
It depends on what labs were run, how comprehensive they were, and how old they are.
Even if they are outdated, I always appreciate reviewing previous labs. They provide helpful historical context and allow us to identify patterns over time. We will determine together whether updated testing is needed to get the most accurate picture of your current health.

Will I have to take supplements?
Not always.
Food is the foundation of our work together. However, targeted, professional-grade supplements can provide therapeutic support when the body needs additional help — especially in cases involving gut repair, hormone imbalance, detoxification, or nutrient depletion.
When supplements are used, they are:
• Evidence-based
• Carefully selected
• Introduced gradually
• Intended to be strategic and time-specific
The goal is not lifelong dependency. The goal is to restore balance so your body can function optimally on its own.

Do you offer refunds?
Because of the depth of analysis, preparation, and personalization that goes into your program, refunds are not available once services begin.
Each client plan involves detailed case review, testing analysis, and customized protocol design. My commitment is to walk alongside you through the process, adjusting and refining your plan as needed to support your progress.

Do you work with vegan or vegetarian diets?
I do not work with strict vegan diets.
Functional nutrition requires flexibility in order to correct deficiencies, stabilize hormones, repair the gut, and rebuild metabolic resilience. Certain nutrients — including bioavailable B12, iron, zinc, retinol (vitamin A), DHA, and specific amino acids — are extremely difficult to obtain in therapeutic amounts without animal foods.
If you are open to incorporating the foods your body requires, we can design a plan that aligns with both your values and your healing goals.
Healing comes first — labels come second.

How do I know I’m making progress?
We measure progress in multiple ways:
• Symptom and lifestyle tracking
• Follow-up lab testing when appropriate
• Ongoing protocol adjustments
• Your lived experience — energy, digestion, sleep, mood, weight, strength, and mental clarity
Healing is not measured by the scale alone. It is reflected in how you feel day to day and how resilient your body becomes over time.

What’s the best advice for someone considering functional nutrition?
Be honest about what you’re looking for.
If you want quick fixes, trendy detoxes, or generic meal plans, this may not be the right approach.
If you are ready to:
• Investigate root causes
• Commit to personalized testing
• Make sustainable lifestyle shifts
• Invest in long-term transformation
Functional nutrition can be life-changing.
This work requires partnership, patience, and commitment — but the results are foundational and lasting.
